HISTORY OF HIGH HEELS!!

Heyy everyone The history of high heels dates back many centuries. The first stiletto heels are dated as early as 1000 BC and they are still every girls love.

Let me take you back to their origin!!

ANCIENT EGYPT 

Dating back to 3500 B.C,early depictions of high heels could be seen on ancient Egyptian murals. These murals would depict Egyptian nobilities wearing heels to set them apart from the lower class, who would normally go barefoot.

ANCIENT ROMAN AND GREEK

-High heels were used in Greek theatrical productions around 200 AD.-First theatrical author known as Esquilo dressed his actors with high heels.-Shoe height represented the social status of the actor's character.-Shoes were commonly known as KOTHORNI.-In Ancient Rome,high heels became a well-known symbol in the sex trade and were associated with prostitution.

MIDDLE AGES

-Both men and women would wear ''pattens'',which were wooden soles,attached to their shoes.-To keep their fragile and expensive footwear out of the mind and street debris.-Chopines emerged during 1400s in Turkey and became popular throughout Europe.-Women who wore them required the use of servants to assist them in walking.
